Is This Apple's Next iPad?

Photos purportedly from Foxconn's iPad manufacturing factory show what may be Apple's next iPad.
The photos, first shown on a French website, come from a worker within the factory who the site uses as a trusted source. The larger iPad, which could measure between 12.2 and just under 13 inches, is entirely plausible as Apple has just approved final design for its next iPad according to geek.com.

Apple's introduction of the iPhone 6 Plus marked its entry into the rapidly expanding, yet terribly named, "phablet" market, where smart phones with ever growing screens are blurring the line between phone and tablet. The success of Apple's larger phone is in contrast to declining numbers in sales of its iPad lineup, which has seen a decrease in global market share of the tablet market, even while the market as a whole has grown.

A larger iPad could do for computers what larger phones have done for tablets, by taking the best features of both devices and growing the tablet both in size and market share. An iPad that is essentially the same size as a Macbook Air would fill a technology space for people who want more screen real estate but prefer a tablet's interface.
Of course, this new iPad is still a rumor, but one that falls squarely in the "plausible" column.
